Since our inception, the IoT Design Shop has sponsored the Vancouver Mini Maker Faire held every year, showcasing innovative projects and providing a platform for makers to share their passions.

Our entire IoT Design Shop team was extremely fortunate to attend Maker Faire Bay Area 2016 courtesy of our supporters. We had the opportunity to engage with the community and share ideas on the latest in IoT technology.

FizViz – Physical Visualization Nexus

FizViz began life as a “concept” project when we decided to enter the World’s Largest Arduino Maker Competition, where we aimed to visualize data in new and innovative ways.

SIGNUL: The World’s First Personal Beacon System

Nexus experiments with Bluetooth Low Energy were prominent amongst our very first projects, laying the groundwork for the development of SIGNUL as a personal connectivity solution.

ConnectionMaker – Indoor Location System

Bluetooth Low Energy proximity and location was one of our early areas of research, leading to the creation of the ConnectionMaker system to enhance indoor navigation.
